Montreal Masters Novak Djokovic entered semifinals

 

Novak Djokovic delivered a crushing 6-1, 6-2 defeat to France's Richard Gasquet as the top seed motored into the semifinals of the Montreal Masters on Friday.

Djokovic, a three-time champion in Canada who is bidding for his third-straight title at the event, won his eighth match out of nine against Gasquet and his sixth in a row in the series.

The Serb world number one will Saturday face the winner from Rafael Nadal and Australian qualifier Marinko Matosevic.
