The BCCI has planned two Tests at home against West Indies before India's tour to South Africa, thus ensuring Sachin Tendulkar plays his landmark 200th Test at home; he will perhaps bid farewell to the game at the end of the Test series.
Tendulkar, who is two Tests short of becoming the first cricketer to feature in 200 Tests, was expected to put an end to his 24-year sojourn at the highest level at the end of the South Africa Test series. But the two Tests against West Indies, likely to be played in Kolkata and Mumbai in November, will be a perfect stage for him to sign off in his hometown.
