Laura Robson won a tight match against fellow 19-year-old Caroline Garcia of France to reach the third round of the US Open.
The British number one, seeded 30th, saved two set points in the second set as she triumphed 6-4 7-6 (7-5) on Court 11.
Robson faces fifth seed Li Na in a rematch of their third-round meeting last year, which the teenager won.
